No need to wrap with long lengths of fabric; simply put the carrier on like a t-shirt, position baby in an anatomically comfortable M-shape position on your chest and tighten, then wrap the outer layer around securely to ensure there are always 3 layers of stretchy material keeping your baby close and safe.
Suitable to use for newborn babies from 2.3kg to approximately 8-10kg (maximum safety tested weight is 15kg), parents and carers will love this easy, breezy baby carrier. Adjusts to fit most adults: simply pull the material through rings to tighten, then tie the third layer around the middle. Baby number 2 is yet to arrive but have just had a wonderful informative consult with Alyce and this is the carrier I wish I'd had for my first as a newborn! In my sleep deprived state, with a reflux/colicky first baby, and long physical recovery (post-birth) I just never figured out the stretchy wraps and a full strictured carrier was too uncomfortable. I later used a half-buckle with my second (which I did like after trying many options!) but want something snuggly/easy so I can babywear during the fourth trimester this time round. I'll also need hands-free more often with an active 3yr old (especially if this baby is also a fan of contact naps!).
I've only tried it with a "dummy baby" but was simple to put on and adjust. So, SO comfortable (even with my 28wk bump!). I chose this particular carrier as I'm currently high risk for another caesarean and hated having anything over my tummy last time (emergency-c) - this was the recommendation with no waistband.
Alyce was able to give me some great tips for quick daycare drop-offs & breastfeeding with the carrier. I feel so much better prepared this time, am planning to practice weekly with a teddy until baby arrives so I don't forget all the tricks! I love this carrier! I did lots of research to try and find the perfect carrier - this definitely comes close. I love how it’s structured but also very adjustable to cater for a newborn to a toddler. Definitely liking the additional newborn strap as well. Added bonus is how fashionable it looks!
I’ve used the Lennylamb light after coming from a stretchy wrap and ergobaby 360.
The customisable Lenny light has made baby wearing super comfortable and easy! Baby passes out immediately upon being worn.
